As a fourth generation construction company Director Michael Young has continued to grow and expand the company by building on the strong business foundations laid before him by:

John Young & Sons expanded into Gladstone in 1949 with George Young at the helm. George played an integral part in rebuilding much of Gladstone after the cyclone of 1949 ravaged the city. The company quickly established their name as a leading industrial and commercial construction company and was responsible for:
• The first conveyor belt for the Gladstone Harbour Board
• Several QAL and Boyne Smelter expansions.
• At least 27 of the buildings in Goondoon Street
• Many of our churches, pubs & banks
• Schools & Hospital
• Numerous commercial buildings
Young Contractors strives to provide services that fulfill the needs of our clients by combining quality workmanship with extensive industry experience. We believe that our extensive hands-on construction and senior managerial experience sets us apart from the field.

Constant monitoring, assessment and implementation of our company safety system has resulted in an impeccable safety performance –zero reportable injuries to date.

Youngs understands the sensitive and diverse area in which we live and work within the Gladstone Region. Our EMP has been developed to manage our environmental footprint and minimise impact on all aspects of the environment including air and water quality, soil condition, noise levels, flora, fauna and areas of cultural significance.
